Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Mid-Level Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support a U.S. Space Force program. This position requires a talented and experienced RF Engineer to contribute to a RF engineering team within a larger, multidisciplined team to perform the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including analysis/feasibility, planning/requirements, design, system development, testing, deployment, maintenance, evaluation, and disposition/disposal. The RF Engineer will be required to contribute to Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSandA); Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations; prototyping; and other activities necessary for the SDLC process. Responsibilities: Design, perform, and manage RF MSandA; SWIL and HWIL simulations; prototyping; and other activities to establish and verify RF system concepts. Plan, perform, and manage RF system design, development, integration, and test and evaluation activities as necessary. Perform RF aperture, transmit/receive chain, and signal generation/processing design, analysis, development, and evaluation. Develop, validate, and maintain RF link budgets, noise level estimates, and dynamic signal range to ensure mission success. Assist with the development and execution of system tests and demonstrations. Identify, manage, communicate, and mitigate program and project risks. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or other relevant technical discipline Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing through producing test plans, final reports, process instructions, or other equivalent activities. Experience supporting systems engineering technical reviews to include Design Concept Review (DCR), System Functional Review (SFR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Final Design Review (FDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and Production Readiness Review (PRR). Experience with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management. Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Required Experience: Minimum 2 years experience performing and leading RF engineering activities across the SDLC process. Experience with projects using Agile methodologies, Digital Engineering (DE), and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Experience utilizing MATLAB and/or Python code to perform MandS, data analysis and reduction, and HWIL equipment control and automation. Experience performing detailed design activities, including iterative systems engineering; mission thread development and analysis; trade studies; hardware/software design; and prototyping, necessary for the SDLC process. Experience with Government or commercial spaceflight projects. Experience with aerospace system lifecycle design for launch, mission operations, and end-of-mission disposal. Experience with space systems material handling requirements. Experience with space qualification requirements and processes for space systems. Desired Qualifications: Masters degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent. 5+ years experience performing and leading RF engineering activities across the SDLC process. Experience in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Global Positioning System (GPS), and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). Active SECRET clearance.
