BAE Systems in Huntsville Alabama (HAL) is seeking candidates to join our growing Systems Engineering Team working on state of the art missile sensors and seeker systems within thePrecision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line in the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area. Applicants should have Systems Engineering experience in one or more aspects of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle ranging from ConOps, Architecture, Design and Development, to Verification and Validation, and including Production, and Sustainment of Fielded Systems. The successful candidates must be team players and have demonstrated experience in understanding Systems Engineering processes in support of either Development, Production, or Sustainment activities.
The role may encompass aspects of the following:
System/ Sub-System hardware and/or software design upgrade activities
System product technical baseline implementation, assessment and control throughout Development, Production, and Sustainment lifecycles by upholding system functional, performance, and interface requirements
Supports system requirements allocations to Hardware, Software, and Test Engineering
Provide monitoring of and representation of Customer s technical requirements & needs and manage requirements compliance assessment at the system level
Ensure thorough and complete system requirements, management, traceability, verification and validation on Engineering labs, and/or Factory Test Stations and In-Process product changes
Perform, or support, comprehensive planning and execution of all Systems Engineering activities across the program(s)
Supports creation of Systems Engineering Technical plans
Supports Proposal development and Capture team activities

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Hold an active Secret security clearance
Significant experience as a Systems Engineer
Experience with missile or smart munitions design, development, and fielding
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Hold an active Top Secret security clearance
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in identifying and tracking technical risks
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Experience developing and flowing down requirements to testable modular hardware and software
Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines
HWIL or Systems Integration Lab development or operational experience
The candidate should enjoy problem solving and have the ability to produce concrete results despite significant ambiguities in the problem space
Comfortable in a lab setting working with a combination of both hardware and software
Experience collaborating with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, developing operational systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated environments
Understanding any of the Electro-Optical Infra-Red (EOIR), Laser, and Radio Frequency (RF) domains
Experience heading a FRB Failure Review Board
Experience with planning, conducting or contributing to FRACAS Events and resulting trade studies
Exposure to technical performance measurements
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
Aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, Semi-autonomous decision awareness
Model Based Agile Engineering (Value Driven Digital Threads) and Agile Mindset principle, practices & processes and tools & techniques
Developing and using analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, VBA, C/C , Linux, or similar tools is required
MS Systems Engineering
Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML), Model Based Agile Engineering (Value Driven Digital Threads) and Agile Mindset principle, practices & processes and tools & techniques
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
