Position Description:
Radiance Technologies is in need of the services of a Rotary Wing Flight Engineer to provide direct support to the US Army, Aviation Engineering Directorate located in Huntsville, AL. Duties will include support for various fixed wing platforms and various rotary wing platforms for ongoing US Army aviation development, certification, and Airworthiness. Some details will include providing expertise in flight performance qualification to include DoD and FAA airworthiness requirements for military and commercial derivative aircraft. Evaluate aircraft operators manuals, aircraft modification documents and flight test data for accuracy, format and content. Providing engineering support for flight performance estimation to support design analysis for developmental and fielded systems. Provide engineering support for the analysis and airworthiness approval of Flight Performance mission planning tools, models and data sets. This will require occasional travel to sites for witnessing and/or validating OEMs processes, witnessing test events, and may include travel to contractor facilities as well for the same support/validation efforts.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Ability to be team oriented and communicate efficiently.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 15 years related Aerospace or Mechanical engineering experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Must demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism while interacting with a diverse group.
Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently, and at times, with management staff under time constraints and stringent deadlines.
