Title Sr. Accounting and Financial Analyst (OPR004)

Description PER is seeking a full-time Sr. Accounting and Financial Analyst to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL to operate the accounting and finance department.
Responsibilities
- Organize, analyze, audit, and maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP and other laws and regulations
- Assess financial operations, identify risks and challenges,and make best-practices recommendations to management
- Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time
- Incurred Cost Submission preparation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage payroll, timesheet and other payroll related issues
- Create and maintain necessary corporate policies related to accounting and finance
- Financial planning and analysis about development of indirect rates, proposal basis of estimates, pricing or other financial analysis of contracts
- Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits
- Oversee program finance analysis
- Analyze and interpret contract requirements for setup and maintenance in PERs accounting system
- Contract and subcontract reporting and billing subcontract funding requests
- Work closely with Director of Contracts Program Managers, and other groups to perform cost and program management support
- Budget and planning and maintenance for company and contracts
- Train team members about corporate policies and accounting systems related to accounting and finance
Qualifications
- 25+ years of experience in a similar position

``` - Experience in all areas of accounting cycle - Experience with commonly utilized accounting systems (QuickBooks, Unanet, Costpoint, etc.) - Experience with Government Contract Accounting in compliance with FAR/DFARS/DCAA standards
