ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders provided by supervisor.
  • Count items to ensure that the correct number have been received.
  • Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse.
  • Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities.
  • Operate forklifts to pick heavy boxes and transport them to checking areas.
  • Ascertain the quality and quantity of picked items and ensure that they are safely delivered to the correct locations. Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies.
  • Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.
  • Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pickup of inventory, equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Assist with the Inventory Control responsibilities, parts check in and stocking duties.
  • Perform task in accordance with property, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform various daily housekeeping tasks, responsible for maintaining work and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Perform other various administrative duties as needed, assigned and/or required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • Adhere to security and safety policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases, follow processes, perform basic mathematical computations, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulistas goals.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment such as fax, phone, scanner, printer, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must represent Yulista in a professional manner at all times.
  • High degree of self-motivation, independent work skills, excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, trustworthy, and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to detect unobvious facts and issues, evaluate data, exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems, and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek CostPoint, with an ability to learn additional skills and software programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 6 months of related work experience preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift preferred.
