Job Title: Software Engineer - Missile Defense ProgramJob Description

Join a vital program that integrates the Missile Defense System, supporting a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. You will assist with the design and development of Battle Management (BM) and Sensor Resource Management (SRM) algorithms, ensuring the software functions correctly within performance specifications. Additionally, you will analyze mission and test data, create and use analysis test software, and report results to the team and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of BM and SRM algorithms.

  • Ensure BM/SRM software functions correctly and meets performance specifications.

  • Analyze mission and test data.

  • Create and use analysis test software.

  • Report and visualize results to team and customers.

Essential Skills

  • 0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or similar engineering field.

  • 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in STEM.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Experience in the missile defense domain, including engagement management, sensor management, and algorithm development.

  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Java, Git, Eclipse, Unix, and Linux.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Highly motivated.

  • Experience with software development.

  • Desire to work in aerospace or electrical engineering.

  • Familiarity with Eclipse.

  • Desire to work in a team environment.

Work Environment

Work on-site at a new facility outside of Redstone Arsenal, built to support this program. The environment supports the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications program, which is integral to all system ground and flight tests verifying and exercising current and future missile defense system capabilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00
