About the Job

As an Atlassian DevOps Platform Engineer at Opella, you'll play a crucial role in our

Enabling Platforms & DevOps team, delivering solutions that support our global operations. You'll be at the forefront of implementing and optimizing our Atlassian Cloud portfolio products and integration with marketplace apps and custom solutions, while also bridging the gap between development and project management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administration, configuration, and optimization of Atlassian Cloud tools, including Jira, Confluence, Atlas, Compass, Guard, and Statuspage.

  • Design and implement custom solutions using Atlassian products to meet specific business needs across our global operations.

  • Manage integrations between Atlassian tools and other systems using Forge and APIs.

  • Configure and maintain marketplace apps such as ScriptRunner, Xray, Comala Document Management, Draw.io, Snapshots and Scroll PDF Exporter.

  • Develop and maintain Automation rules to streamline workflows and increase productivity, reducing waste and manual tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with GxP processes for Consumer Healthcare, and other regional and local regulations within our Atlassian ecosystem.

  • Provide technical expertise and support for Jira Software, and Confluence, including advanced features like Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmap), Dashboards and Release management.

  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and optimize DevOps practices using Atlassian tools

  • Support both Agile and more classic project management methodologies and Scrum framework within the Atlassian ecosystem.

  • Lead training sessions and create documentation to support user adoption and best practices across different methodologies.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian product updates (Loom, Rovo), DevOps practices, and industry trends, recommending improvements to our toolset and processes as needed.

About You

Technical Background Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Atlassian administration and implementation, with a focus on Cloud environments.

  • Deep understanding of Jira and Confluence, including advanced features like portfolio management, release management, and customization of workflows, hierarchy, issue types, templates and fields.

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, with experience implementing DevOps solutions using Atlassian tools.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and their integration with Atlassian products (e.g., GitHub)

  • Proficiency in JQL filters, dashboards, scripting and automation using tools like Scriptrunner and native Atlassian Automation features.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban and more classical project management methodologies and their implementation within Jira.

  • Experience integrating Atlassian products with other enterprise systems and third-party vendor solutions.

  • Knowledge of GxP processes and regulatory compliance in a consumer healthcare setting

  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified Professional), Scrum certifications and relevant DevOps certifications are highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and end users.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for improving user experience and driving adoption.

  • Ability to bridge gaps between different teams and methodologies, fostering collaboration between development and project/product management.
