Position Objective

As the Technical Lead your role will be crucial in supporting the global operations strategy for our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry division. You will lead and empower a project team consisting of subject matter authorities and functional leaders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and with detailed outcomes. With a high degree of autonomy, you will technically adhere to the project management process and drive the achievement of project goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully lead programs and projects through a formal stage gate framework

  • Plan department budget and track actuals vs forecast, and report out consistently

  • Contribute to establishing sustaining & NPI portfolio operating mechanisms, structure, and process

  • Develop a detailed project timeline for strategic and/or business critical projects including information such as project charter, objectives, scope, coordinating assets to drive impact and project acceleration.

  • Analyze requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects

  • Resolve and define clear results, roles, and responsibilities for team members required for specific projects or initiatives

  • Supervise daily tasks to ensure all project team members are actively working toward established achievements and results, and ensure consistency to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Establish and implement a project communication plan and develop information communication procedures.

  • Confer with project personnel to coordinate activities and identify and resolve problems

  • Coordinate between business principals to ensure project needs are met

  • Prepare timely project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and calling out risks for key partners

  • Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans in conjunction with business principals

  • Build and present project report outs to leadership.

  • Work towards growing Site engineering services as a business

  • Establish relationships with business leaders and divisional teams to drive efficiency in the project approval and implementation phases.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent experience will be considered.

  • PMP certification will be an added advantage

  • Proven experience managing projects in a product-based company for 14+ years

  • Experience gained from leading projects across a global organization is desirable.

  • Experience of significant capital investment projects or establishing new sites, product transfers, consolidations is desirable

  • A confirmed understanding of project management tools and methodology.
