Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.
These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.
Primary Responsibilities:
Team is responsible for the entire portfolio for financials within organization
Planning and managing funding
Managing the overall portfolio for two of our most detailed funding areas
Partner very closely with our teams and business partners to understand the dollars allocated to our organization as well as how the teams are allocating funds to their resources
All of this is needed to provide a forecast for leadership so decisions can be made earlier and proactive
Reviews the work of others
Develops innovative approaches
Sought out as expert
Serves as a leader/ mentor

Required Qualifications:
Graduate degree from a recognized university, preferably from an IT Engineering / Computer Science background
15+ years of overall development experience
8+ years of recent experience working with Java tech stack primarily on Data ingestion and data integration patterns
3+ years of development experience in Big Data / Hadoop tech stack
Hands-on experience in Java UI/UX, REST or Spring Boot MVC microservices
Hands-on experience in Spark streaming
Hands-on experience implementing CICD pipelines
Experience working on search engine like Elasticsearch or Solr
Experience working on even streaming using Kafka
Experience working on agile model
Knowledge or experience of Kubernetes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proven abilities to handle and nurture large teams
Ability to deliver features end to end working with Scrum teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python and NoSQL DB such as Mongo / Casandra / HBase
Knowledge or experience of cloud technologies
Knowledge or experience of cloud Kafka
Knowledge or experience of working on Cassandra
Good knowledge of Provider LOB

Exposure to CMMI standards and processes
