We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Data) in our Ads Engineering team, crafting groundbreaking mobile advertising technologies to build the next generation of our Ads Platform.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines and services.

• Understand the business requirements and translate them into the development/design tasks.

• Follow engineering best practices and design/coding standards.

• Collaborate with the other team members across different teams.

• Craft and build cloud-based data lakes and data warehouses

• Choose the right technology stack to align with those use cases with scalability.

• Develop alert & monitoring systems and procedures for faster disaster recovery.

• Provide technical directions and mentor other specialists and engineers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software design and development.

• Strong in Java/Python Development and object-oriented design principles.

• 4+ years of experience in working with relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres etc.

• Expert level SQL skills and database performance concepts.

• Experience in NoSQL databases like Bigtable, Cassandra, HBase etc.

• Experience with schema design and data modeling.

• Strong understanding of large-scale distributed data processing.

• Experience with developing extract-transform-load (ETL).

• Experience with distributed messaging systems like Kafka

• Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark and Flink.

• Should be able to communicate and articulate his/her thought process effectively with the other team members.

• Should be able to work independently with limited guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working experience in building data warehouses and data lakes.

• Experience working with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience in ML-Infra

• Knowledge of advertising platforms
