Position Title: Electrician 1^st^ Class

Work Location: site- INTEC

Shift Schedule: Monday Thursday 4x10s

Hourly Wage: \$46.67

Position Purpose:

The responsibilities of this classification include performing journeyman electrical system maintenance, installing electrical systems, and replacing electrical components. All tasks that may be performed by this classification are not contained in this standard.

Specific Duty Areas:

  1. Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
  2. Repair electrical systems and components.
  3. Install electrical systems and components.
  4. Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
  5. Work in cooperation with D&D crews and projects to allow for the D&D work to be performed in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):

High School diploma or equivalent and at least three years of industrial/commercial electrician experience.

Must have a state-issued Electrician\'s License, a Journeyman Electrician\'s Card, or completion of a DOL approved apprenticeship.

Master-Journeyman level desirable.

Special Requirements/Training:

Electricians are expected to have a significant body of knowledge of: National Electrical Code, Basic Math, Basic Ohms Law, Electrical Test Equipment, Basic Shop Equipment, Electrical Safety, AC/DC Motors, AC/DC Generators, AC/DC Controllers, Molded Case Circuit Breakers, Air Circuit Breakers, Switchgear and Motor Control Centers, Batteries and Battery Chargers, Transformers, Fundamentals of Protective Relaying, Lighting and Emergency Lighting, Cable, Wiring, Conduit, Prints and Diagrams, and PLC Familiarization.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an \"L\" Security clearance.

Must be able to obtain qualification as a Radiation Worker 2.

Must be able to work in hazardous locations such as confined spaces and at heights.

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:

State issued Journeyman Electrician License, a Journeyman Electrician\'s Card, or completion of a DOL approved apprenticeship.
