Vontier Regional Sales Manager, (Region 20) in Idaho

As a Regional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the success of our mobile distributors across the region. Your ability to mentor and guide our District Managers, creating and executing strategies to increase store sales, expand our franchise headcount and retain performing distributors will be key to achieving our mission of providing industry-leading tools and equipment to automotive technicians. After more detail? You will be responsible for leading the sales growth and distributor retention efforts within the assigned geographic region. You will own responsibility for implementation and completion of all 5R responsibilities (Rides, Reviews, Retention, Relationships, Recruiting Lead Generation) within the region, RPR Improvement and compliance, and Tech Ed sales development. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Matco Business System (MBS) standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed in the region. You will mentor and coach District Managers (DMs) and further develop talent funnels (farm team) for field sales positions within the region.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Achieve annual region distributor sales quota

  • Achieve annual region franchise lead generation target

  • Achieve annual region distributor retention target

  • Develop and communicate annual strategy for achieving region goals in sales franchise lead generation and retention

  • Build strong regional team and maintain 100% DM staffing

  • Interview, hire, train, coach, and mentor direct reports. Acquire and develop talent

  • Identify and develop franchise growth opportunities within the region

  • Drive Matco Business System utilization and improvement in region, including driving RPR improvement

  • Monitor/manage distributor separations and improve retention through the Dashboard/Accelerator process

  • Lead and drive Dashboard/Accelerator actions including blasts, both Time Payment (TP) and Big Ticket

  • Lead and drive reduction in region Open Purchase Account (OPA) delinquency, improving open to buy

  • Achieve sales meeting attendance and product sales targets

  • Develop training presentations/materials for distributor (DBR)/DM meetings & expos

  • Lead and drive regional Policy Deployment (PD) targets/participate on PD teams

  • Implement all MBS SOPs and compliance within the region

  • Manage Matco Distributor Advisory Council (MDAC) meeting process within region

  • Monitor/manage regional consignment accounts

  • Manage regional sales expense to plan

  • Manage DBR farm team funnel

1 ST 6 MONTHS DELIVERABLES:

  • Completion of all Regional Manager (RM) playbook training requirements

  • RM Assimilation within the region

  • PSR PD Training

  • Ops review with Director of Field Operations/Human Resources Manager

  • Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of experience in mobile tool or franchise industry

  • Sales management experience required; franchise sales experience preferred

  • Organizational skills and time management skills

  • Proficient computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Outlook and other MS Office applications

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to large audiences of 50+ Ability to utilize crucial conversation skills when necessary

  • Strong sales and marketing skills required

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at once as well as walk for periods of time while climbing on and off a mobile tool truck

  • Ability to travel within your designated region as well as to sales meetings throughout the year
