Fortive Corporation Quality and EHS Specialist in Indaiatuba, Brazil

Job Summary: The Quality and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of quality and safety within the organization. This role encompasses ensuring compliance with quality management systems, facilitating audits, and implementing EHS policies and procedures. The successful candidate will provide support to the Industrial Scientific team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain accreditation scope. This role requires a proactive individual who can interface with both internal teams and external agencies to foster a culture of safety and quality excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

  • Manage and enhance the Quality System & Activities, including the analysis of standards, preparation, and delivery of training sessions, organization of documentation, and support activities to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Ensure the implementation, revision, and distribution of quality processes and procedures are controlled and up to date.

  • Manage non-conformity processes and drive the implementation of corrective actions to improve or evolve the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and complaints control, ensuring feedback is used for continuous improvement.

  • Streamline operational standards through process improvement methodologies and maintain a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

EHS Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with legal and company standards.

  • Provide leadership and technical guidance in creating strategies and training programs aimed at reducing EHS risks and ensuring compliance.

  • Liaise with external EHS agencies and ensure the company's EHS practices meet regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with business and functional leaders to develop and execute action plans that address outstanding issues and promote improvements in safety performance and environmental control.

  • Interface with internal customers to understand current and future state requirements for safety and environmental controls, and work with leadership to plan and implement necessary improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using FBS process improvement tools to enhance quality and safety processes.

  • Initiate, review, and approve internal change requests, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation.

  • Partner with leadership to develop alternative and improved processes, prioritizing safety and quality in all initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and EHS.

  • Proven experience in quality and EHS roles within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of legal compliance and industry standards in quality and EHS.

  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
