Advanced Technology and Research Corporation Project Manager w/DOD Experience in Indian Head, Maryland

Salary Range : $98,000 to $118,000 USD per year

Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (www.atrcorp.com) is seeking to fill the following full-time permanent position.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a mid-level project manager at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD.  You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology as part of the Energetics Technology Division and Ordnance Component Technology Branch.  The applicant shall work on site with the Ordnance Component Technology Engineering team with s ome off-site work from home available on a weekly basis. The applicant will be required to work with project leads and their engineers to develop and maintain project spend plans. The applicant’s responsibilities include supporting the project manager with overseeing and coordinating projects, contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining documentation, reviewing financials, monitoring project activities, manage and track workload, evaluating the overall project and support periodic project reviews.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum BS or BA degree or related discipline

  • 5+ years of project management or relevant experience

  • Experienced in Project Management and financial principals

  • Job experience with Navy or DoD is preferred

    SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of the project management principles, assist projects in executing to cost, schedule, and performance requirements

  • Experience with integrated master schedule development and tracking

  • Experience developing integrated master schedule summary charts for inclusion in status briefs

  • Experience with leading risk management to include documenting, tracking, and reporting risks

  • Experience with authoring project management plans

  • Experience with analysis report writing and weekly report writing

  • Possess strong MS Office skills to include, but not limited to MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro

  • Possess excellent verbal/written communications skills and attention to detail

  • Interest and aptitude for working on complex technical projects and teams in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments

  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and external teammates to understand their issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects

  • Some minimal travel required

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
