Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Customer Service Representative in the construction/contractor industry based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is primarily customer service-oriented, with a focus on maintaining and managing customer accounts. THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WORK 4- 10 HOUR DAYS, FRIDAY-MONDAY 7AM-6PM OR 10AM-9PM ON-SITE.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering or making calls to clients to learn about and address their needs and schedule inspections and appointments with appropriate trade.

  • Answering calls from customers with complaints, or other issues with products or services and directing to appropriate team lead to address.

  • Responding efficiently and accurately to callers, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring that clients feel supported and valued.

  • Engaging in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing clients, as needed.

  • Building lasting relationships with clients and other call center team members based on trust and reliability.

  • Utilizing software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately.

  • Understanding of company products, services, and policies.

  • Participating in ongoing training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of position, company’s products and services.

  • Supporting other assignments such as ongoing CRM database maintenance responsibilities, DNS list maintenance, etc.

  • Assist in other administrative duties as requested.

    Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proven skills in customer service, including the ability to handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints effectively

• Experience in creating and providing quotations to customers

• Ability to confirm and coordinate appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling of services

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers

• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant computer applications

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently when required

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
