Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell. As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical / functional support to internal teams, prospective clients, and customers while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for regional sales consulting and sales teams. Works closely with product management and development teams to enhance our available solutions and provide feedback on future solutions and feature sets. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

Senior Solution Engineer - Food & Beverage Industry

As an Oracle Restaurants Senior Solution Engineer on the Global Technical Team, you will be responsible for advising existing and potential customers about the technical capabilities of the Oracle Simphony Cloud Platform, including our APIs and partner integrations, to the global food and beverage market. You will be a member of a global team with high level product expertise, directly supporting prospective clients, customers, and partners as well as our sales and technical organizations within the Food and Beverage Global Industry Unit. You will contribute to the team individually by focusing on the more techincally-demanding engagements and integrations during presales labs and pilot implementations. Identifying and escalating technical challenges, determining functional solutions, and building successful relationships with all stakeholders is critical to this team's success. This position will also work with our product management and development teams to provide feedback on new solutions and input into future solutions and enhancements.

The ideal candidate will possess a variety of skills including:

  • Experience in a Software Implementation / Pre-Sales / Solution Engineering environment

  • Strong knowledge of Simphony Cloud Platform configuration and integration capabilities

  • Successful history configuring complex Simphony environments and troubleshooting technical challenges

  • Strong professional networking skills

  • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations in order to present technical solutions to prospects and existing customers

  • Discovery skills to liaise with partners and customers, proven success identifying business challenges

  • The ability to produce high quality documentation of a technical nature

  • Excellent communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, up to and including C-level executives

  • A passion for technology architecture and delivery

  • A collaborative and team-building attitude

  • Wide knowledge of the food and beverage market and trends

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Fluency in English is required

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $30.29 to $76.49 per hour; from $63,000 to $159,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
