Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join its Logistics group.

What is the job about?

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the performance of the Logistics Department or a team through task guidance, direction setting and motivation of the workforce. Position reports to, and will take functional direction from, the Logistics Manager and is an onsite position at Indianapolis IN facility.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop plans to maintain an efficient, productive and harmonious work environment.

  • Select, Lead, guide, evaluate and develop employees to ensure that the department achieves the business objectives.

  • Select the right people and keep them trained and motivated to add value for our customers.

  • Responsible for the adequate handling of logistics within one working facility, ensure adequate stock and timely supply of logistics to/from the lines or working areas and oversee the proper control of inventories and health and safety requirements.

  • Ensure activities of in-coming shipments are processed within performance times.

  • Ensure inventory accuracy by conducting daily / weekly cycle counts.

  • Recommend and introduce improvements to current processes and systems.

  • Ensure that operations team understand and are fully aware of the logistics services and activities to be performed to customer service performance expectations

Posting, Reporting, and Work Relations

This role will work closely with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Scheduling. This role will also work with the EHS team to meet and improve safety standards.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Experience leading processes preferably within Logistics

  • Strong ability to lead and/or influence others

  • Strong knowledge of best practices and relevant systems within Logistics

  • Post Secondary Education (Associate or Technical degree) *Bachelor's degree much preferred

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
