District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employees who work in the yard year-round. The projects built by Kiewit Offshore Services require significant equipment planning, detailed cost estimates and schedules, a commitment to safety by all employees, and are truly unforgettable. Location

This position is based out of Kiewit's Offshore Services District in Ingleside, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret construction drawings to record key data from construction data into spreadsheets and/or proprietary electronic systems for future analysis.

  • Perform rudimentary math (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division) to convert raw construction data into useful reporting metrics.

  • Input handwritten or printed data given by others into spreadsheets and/or proprietary electronic systems

  • Perform data comparisons between multiple sources to validate and highlight data accuracy.

  • Maintain an organized system of shared files to quickly locate required information upon request

  • Read and route incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence. Effectively communicate response in a timely manner back to supervision.

  • Always maintain confidentiality in the handling of company and customer information.

  • Participate in facility wide safety and quality events as required in the field (PPE required).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must have effective communication skills (verbal and written), as well as good planning and organization skills.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Database Software and Microsoft Products including Word and Excel. PDF mark-up software is a plus (Bluebeam).
