Description
A well-respected boutique law firm dedicated to representing employees in all aspects of workplace law is seeking an employment litigation associate! This firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment where you will gain valuable experience working alongside seasoned attorneys on a wide range of plaintiff-side employment cases.
This litigation associate opportunity is on-site 5 days a week in Orange County. My team has worked with this firm for many years and have successfully placed 5 attorneys who are still there and happy!
This litigation associate will join a growing plaintiff-side employment law practice. In this role, you will play a vital role in all stages of litigation, gaining experience in legal research, writing, discovery, motion practice, and client communication. You will work closely with partners and senior associates on a variety of cases, including:
Wrongful termination
Discrimination (race, age, gender, disability, etc.)
Retaliation
Wage and hour violations
Whistleblower claims
Severance agreements
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive memoranda on various employment law issues.
Draft and edit legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
Assist with client intake, interviewing clients, and gathering case information.
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Manage case files and deadlines using case management software.
Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their cases.
Work collaboratively with partners and senior associates to develop litigation strategy.

Requirements
Qualifications
California bar license.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in employment law (preferred, but not required).
Commitment to zealous advocacy and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
A passion for social justice and helping employees enforce their rights.
Must be local to Orange County, California.
