Golden State Foods IT Asset Management Specialist in Irvine, California
Overview
Job Summary:
Manage physical assets including device tracking, maintenance, management, repairs, and ordering. Support systems analysts and tech teams with day-to-day issue resolution and movement of devices. Maintain inventory and keep cycle counts.
This role is a Hybrid role with 3 days in and 2 days out. During the first two to three months it will be more in office to get trained and learn the role.
Responsibilities
Be on-site and in-office during normal business hours (hybrid schedule) . Limited after-hours support for severity 1 issues only.
Essential Responsibilities
Daily RMA processing using GSF standard operating procedures.
Hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Asset receiving and reconciliation.
Managing hardware assets using Avalanche, Asset Panda, Meraki, and ServiceNow HAM.
Manage asset inventories including stocking, just-in-time ordering, redeployment, replenishment, cycle counts, receiving, and other essential asset management functions.
ServiceNow ticket management for device failures or repairs.
Device staging and procurement to deliver to end users for production floor use.
Manage asset deployments and reclaims (e.g., new hire/termination asset processes).
Device Management
Assess the device operating system and provide recommendations.
Support ongoing projects with device preparation and staging.
Upgrade devices with the latest firmware.
Experience with ticketing standards, practices, and workflows (ServiceNow, Jira, DevOps).
Act as point person for all mobile devices, iPads, wireless printers, label printers, headsets, chargers, VoCollect, etc.
Experience with RF devices/technologies related to WLAN and Bluetooth testing
Asset Management
Experience with inventory and asset control methods, excellent organizational skills.
Track and manage the movement of assets between facilities.
Familiarity with IT governance processes to track equipment.
Manage all repair and returns processes.
Manage device maintenance contracts.
Work with teams on equipment needs and create reports on counts and statuses.
Recommend purchase strategies for equipment that have End of Life, End of Service, or out of warranty.
Training and Documentation
Develop documentation for standard systems testing and user-acceptance testing.
Develop user setup and configuration training manuals to streamline the deployment of new devices and implementations.
Train other team members in device standards, processes, and methodologies.
Applications Support
Adaptability to learn business applications used on devices (ex. Red Prairie, VoCollect, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
Able to learn and use software tools to support device and asset management including Asset ServiceNow HAM, Panda, StageNow, SOTI, Avalanche, SplashTop, and VoCollect.
Work Ethic and Communication Skills

Must be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
Regular travel requirements (15%) for implementations and go-lives.

Qualifications
EDUCATION /CERTIFICATION
Two-year college required or applicable trade school or commensurate work experience.
Any of these certifications are a plus:
ITIL 4 Certifications: Foundation or Specialist
CompTIA Certifications: A+, ITF+
EXPERIENCE
3 + years in an IT-related role (hardware/software support, asset management, or similar).
Experience with MDM applications (Avalanche, SOTI, Mobile Iron, Azure) a plus!
Experience with Zebra, Honeywell/VoCollect, and Printronix devices a plus!
Managing hardware assets using ServiceNow HAM Avalanche, Asset Panda, Meraki
Experience with ticketing standards, practices, and workflows (ServiceNow, Jira, DevOps)
ITIL Incident Management, General Office Applications, Packaged Software, Remote Assistance Tools (SOTI, Avalanche, SplashTop, RDP/RDM)

Please note that the compensation details listed in postings reflect the base pay only.
Additional compensation including bonuses and car allowances are subject to eligibility.
The expected range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 base salary per year, plus bonus.
Location, confirmed job-related skills, education, experience, and relevant training will be considered in setting the actual starting salary.
