Job Description

Skyworks is looking for a seasoned professional to join its technical writing team. The successful candidate will compile, edit, and publish technical customer documentation for the company’s diverse range of wireless communication solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating expertise in technical writing and editing to improve the quality of assigned documents

• Compiling technical descriptions, schematics, and drawings received from engineering and marketing teams

• Editing materials to conform to the approved Skyworks Style Guide, document templates, and quality assurance standards

• Adhering to standard formats, content, and styles with the ability to adapt to new approaches

• Successfully working under tight deadlines while applying high standards of writing and grammar rules as well as technical writing and configuration management principles to all documents generated

• Multitasking and executing projects based on business priorities, ensuring all urgent business unit requests for customer documentation are met in a timely manner

• Interacting and establishing rapport with engineering and marketing personnel to resolve queries and issues pertaining to content, illustrations, format, and scheduling

• Submitting documents for approval using the Agile database to ensure document control integrity with document revision history content, proper approval workflow routing, and metadata application

• Working with the company website developer to publish approved documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in the wireless industry

• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical writing

• Excellent writing and editorial capabilities

• Experience generating technical documentation (including text and graphics) with Microsoft Office suite, Visio, and Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop and Illustrator

• Experience with HTML or XML a plus

• Ability to interface with engineers and marketing teams to complete documentation

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $98,100 - $187,900 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
