Edwards Lifesciences Senior Analyst, Indirect Sourcing, Critical Care in Irvine, California

How you will make an impact:

  • Leading and collaborating with internal departments and suppliers in analyzing pricing, spend data, department needs, making recommendations and implementing agreed upon solutions for cost reduction, efficiencies, and process improvement.

  • Partnering with suppliers and internal customers to develop sources for new products, or to meet new requirements.

  • Governing supplier programs to ensure global pricing and volume rebates are incorporated for each location,

  • Evaluating need for alternative sources, identifying potential sources and collaborating with internal customers and sourcing team to develop Request for Proposal and Request for Quotations.

  • Reviewing and evaluating bids from suppliers and collaborate with the Legal Team to determine acceptable terms and negotiate terms with bidder.

  • Negotiating amendments to or extensions of contracts, and advising other departments of impact of potential amendments.

  • Drafting contracts and contract amendments, including statements of work and reviews with legal department.

  • Other duties assigned by Leadership.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5 years of previous related experience in contract, bid management, and/or buyer/analyst in an indirect/direct materials and services environment OR

  • Master’s Degree in related field with 3 years of previous related experience in contract, bid management, and/or buyer/analyst in an indirect/direct materials and services environment

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel

  • Experience working with source-to-pay or related systems (e.g., Coupa) preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including customer negotiating and relationship management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Full knowledge and understanding of Critical Care policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to contract or bid management

  • Full knowledge of contract terms and conditions

  • Good leadership skills and ability to influence change

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects

  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California, the base pay range for this position is $78,000 to $110,000 (highly experienced).
