Description
Robert Half, Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Consultant with expertise in estate tax planning and compliance. The Senior Tax Consultant will primarily focus on preparing estate tax returns, specifically Form 706, and providing strategic guidance to clients on minimizing estate tax liabilities while maximizing wealth preservation. The position is hybrid and approximately 2 months in duration.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and review complex estate tax returns (Form 706) for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
-Conduct thorough analysis of client financial documents, including asset valuations, beneficiary designations, and estate planning documents, to assess tax implications and identify tax-saving opportunities.
-Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings related to estate and gift taxation, and proactively communicate relevant updates and implications to clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation or CPA certification preferred.
-Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including familiarity with Form 706 and related schedules.
-Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess Tax, Thomson Reuters UltraTax) and Microsoft Office suite.
