Robert Half Senior Tax Manager in Irving, Texas

Description We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager based in Irving, Texas, United States. This role will serve as the primary in-house expert on tax-related matters and will be instrumental in forming relationships with key stakeholders. The Senior Tax Manager will be tasked with managing tax-related operations, including income tax compliance and indirect taxes, and will play a key role in the development of the tax department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the preparation of accurate and timely quarterly and year-end income tax provision computations and disclosures in accordance with ASC 740.

• Guide income tax compliance functions, including the consolidated US federal income tax return, state and local returns.

• Work closely with finance and accounting teams to improve compliance processes.

• Manage and oversee various tax-related filings and related audits, including property and payroll taxes.

• Oversee special projects such as Section 382 studies, tax planning, sales/use/withholding tax assistance, and review business contracts as needed.

• Assist in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures to minimize risks associated with the accounting for income taxes.

• Act as the control owner for key controls within the tax cycle, under SOX 404.

• Review annual statutory tax provisions and the financial statements of foreign subsidiaries prepared under local GAAP.

• Utilize skills in Corporate Income Tax, Indirect Tax, Payroll Taxes, ASC 740, and Income Tax Provision. Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of tax management

• Demonstrated skills in Income Tax Provision

• Proficiency in ASC 740 is a must

• Experience with Corporate Income Tax is required

• Knowledge and experience in Indirect Tax

• Familiarity with Payroll Taxes is necessary

• Ability to work well in a team and independently

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Knowledge of tax software and applications is a plus

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job
