Robert Half Sr. Internal Auditor in Irving, Texas

Description We are in the process of recruiting for the role of Sr. Internal Auditor in Irving, Texas. This role involves the comprehensive audit of financial statements within the telecom industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting interviews, testing business process controls, coordinating with control owners, and developing quarterly reports. This role demands a high level of proficiency in Internal Audit and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley.

Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in the annual financial statement risk assessment process

• Conduct interviews and test business process controls to ensure compliance with control standards

• Collaborate with control owners to evaluate and document control deficiencies, including root cause analyses

• Develop and present quarterly management and Audit Committee reports

• Review SOC 1 reports from service providers, participate in the identification and evaluation of related user entity controls

• Assist in the development of compliance program and Internal Audit metrics

• Maintain strong working relationships with business unit personnel to meet SOX requirements efficiently

• Coordinate with external auditors on SOX compliance in relation to the audit engagement

• Assist in the administration of the SOX GRC system, including control assessments and testing records

• Provide necessary training to key control owners on SOX compliance activities and use of the GRC system. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Internal Audit.

• Proficiency in conducting internal audits and presenting detailed reports.

• Strong knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

• Advanced analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification like CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent is required.

• Familiarity with financial software and MS Office.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and control procedures.
