EisnerAmper has experienced significant growth and is seeking a Director for our Outsourced CFO & Accounting Services group. In this role, you will be the fractional CFO for many of our Consumer Packaged Goods ("CPG") startup and small business clients providing financial consulting and strategic support to our clients' leadership teams. Your deep knowledge of e-commerce and wholesale revenue models as well as inventory and trade spend experience will ensure that our clients have the expert advice, data and insights necessary for 'optimal' business decision-making. You will also support our clients in their fundraising initiatives, both debt and equity, and preparation of investor 'pitch decks' and Board presentations.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Analyzing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to client's management team for strategic decision-making purposes

  • Supporting fundraising strategies and efforts of the CEO/Founders

  • Preparing for board presentations and attending Board of Directors' meetings as requested by client

  • Supervising junior finance staff in the development and maintenance of financial pro forma models for forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparison, budget vs actual analysis and operating plan variance analysis

  • Ensuring that financial models reflect GAAP (e.g. Revenue Recognition)

  • Analyzing trends in financial metrics and KPIs pertinent to client industry and needs

  • Continually monitoring metrics and highlighting trends and unexpected variances

  • Supporting Client employee Option plans and Cap Table management as needed

  • Working with other members of the client team (accounting staff and controllers) to review and support in the creation and distribution of quarterly and monthly financial reports

  • Implementing and working with Business Intelligence and Dashboarding Technology tools

  • Improving performance by evaluating client's current processes to drive efficiencies

  • Performing Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis and proactively providing strategic insights as needed

  • Overseeing all aspects of the client engagement to ensure client satisfaction and the timely preparation of accurate & insightful financial deliverables

  • Expanding services to existing clients

  • Coaching, mentoring and assisting staff so they can develop

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business field

  • 15+ years of accounting or finance experience

  • CFO experience with small, scaling and/or start-up CPG company

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree highly preferred

  • Consulting (multi-client) experience is preferred

  • Ability to draft customized financial policies and procedures for clients

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.

  • Executive presence: Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate effective and creative problem-solving skills

  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple client requests simultaneously

  • Ability to meet deadlines; highly driven and self-motivated

  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work collaboratively with team members in a hands-on capacity as mentor and coach to both internal and client teams

  • Collaborate with other EisnerAmper partners and colleagues to ensure seamless introductions and delivery of extended services (e.g. tax, Outsourced HR, etc)

  • Comfortable with a wide variety of financial software packages

  • Ability to teach best accounting practices

  • Understands the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive job cost system

About our Start-Up Outsource Accounting Services Group:

As this is a fairly new industry area for EisnerAmper so, as we scale for growth, your role will entail some Business Development activities (e.g. networking and BD calls), and, very importantly, coaching and training our internal team of FP&A analysts and accountants not only on best practices and industry standards for the CPG industry but also to support their personal growth and development. We are also constantly looking to make our work more automated and efficient, so this role requires a keen interest in exploring and implementing accounting & FP&A software, especially those using by AI, to support our team and client deliverables.

You will consult with clients on areas relating to the overall management of their businesses. Consulting will include but not be limited to planning, implementation, management and controlling all financial-related activities of the client's business.

120000

and

250000

The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences.The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
