Wells Fargo Lead Specialty Software Engineer in ISELIN, New Jersey

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer in technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) within the Investment Portfolio (IP) technology team to lead development activities to meet business objectives. This lead specialty software engineer will provide technical leadership, partnership with technology teams and business teams to build out tools and components for portfolio analytics to support Portfolio Strategy and Analytics team in IP.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains

  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk

  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost

  • Lead, design, develop, test, and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies

  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature

  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

  • Mentor less experienced software engineers

  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

  • Lead team to achieve objectives

  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience with C# /.NET core

  • 5+ years of experience with React, Java Script and/or Type Script

  • 5+ years of experience with Java

  • 5+ years of experience with SQL

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of financial forecasting / analytics / Capital Markets experience - preferred

  • 10+ years of software development experience with languages such as C#, JavaScript, Java, Python.

  • 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer

  • 7+ years of experience with web platforms: C#, .NET, and/or Java

  • 7+ years of experience with database technologies: Oracle, Mongo DB, SQL Server

  • 4+ years of experience with Observability tools: AppDynamics, Thousand eyes or equivalent.

  • 4+ years of experience using logging/monitoring tools: Elastic, Splunk, Kafka.

  • 4+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, VMWare Tanzu/Pivotal Cloud Foundry).

  • 4+ years of experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts

  • Azure cloud certification preferred

  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences

  • Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure

  • Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment

Job Expectations:

  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends, holidays and on call

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
