Position Overview

Siemens is looking for a Inside Sales Engineer to support sales engineers in the New York and New Jersey markets. This person will report to the Area Sales Manager and have no direct reports.

The ideal candidate would have the desire and capability to eventually move into a sales position:

• Prospecting, developing, and expanding new business.

• Potential for local key account responsibility for a select number of accounts in a focused market

• Ability to manage, develop and expand customer relationships.

Sales Support Engineer - Low & Medium Voltage

This position will be remote in the greater NJ/NYC Metro market .

Role Description

  • Supporting Order Entry and Handover process responsibilities.

  • Developing internal process improvements in sales cycle.

  • Managing, developing, and expanding customer relationships.

  • Pre and post-sale order management / change order management.

  • Technical liaison between customer and business unit.

  • Prospecting, developing, and expanding new business.

You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering desired, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and directly related work experience will also be considered.

  • Ability to effectively work with a wide range of customers, both internal and external.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications shows the discipline and willingness to work with our proprietary web-based enterprise systems.

  • Must be willing and available to travel for company training, business unit meetings and territory support.

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Currently reside in the United States and legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year Electrical Industry sales experience.

  • 1+year Commercial Construction experience.

  • 1+ year Contractor/Distributor work experience.

  • 1+ plus Knowledge of COMPAS or other quotation tools.

The pay range for this position is $58,400 - $100,100 and is eligible for Sales Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
