About the Team:

Senior Implementation Consultants (SICs) help ensure that Medidata's software applications are implemented or enabled following Medidata standard business processes, meet client requirements and follow Good Clinical Data Management Practices. SICs also consult with our clients and provide guidance on how to best implement Medidata's software to provide the most value.

The SICs work with Project Managers and other functional departments during the implementation or enablement of Medidata's software applications, in addition to helping in the training, education and mentoring of colleagues. SICs are leaders of clients and internal colleagues, and champions of our products and processes)

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration or enablement of customers on Medidata software to translate customer needs and meet customer requirements.
  • Follow or educate on best practices for implementing Medidata's software.
  • Author, adapt, or agree on specifications based upon complex client requirements. This can include functional test cases for use in configuring solutions in Medidata's suite of products, and in custom integrations.
  • Support less experienced team members with client engagements, being accountable for quality of delivery.
  • Support developers and other departments during configuration and implementation of specifications.
  • Support departments with issue resolution.
  • Deliver in-person/remote client workshops.
  • Experience working to Project Management timelines and budgets, ensuring completion of deliverables within the agreed scope of work.
  • Experience supporting customers during enablement or implementation of our software by answering questions, resolving configuration or UAT issues, and providing guidance on software usage.
  • Follow industry data collection and handling standards to ensure consistency and facilitate downstream processing (e.g., QC testing).
  • Communicate status reports to team members on both client and internal projects.
  • Lead internal projects, e.g., process improvement, product improvement, identifying best practices and developing workshop materials.
  • Comply with Medidata Standard Operating Policies.
  • Help schedule professional services resources and ensure completion of deliverables.
  • Support Training Group in preparation of course materials and delivery of courses both internally and externally.
  • Support third-party vendors with integration or data transfer efforts.
  • Oversee multiple, complex customer-facing projects or engagements.
  • Support platform implementations or enablement projects.
  • Experience in one product or solution, or, significant relevant experience in a group of products/solutions.
  • Mentor/Train ICs, AICs or new employees.
  • Support management in achievement of our goals outside of client deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Expert industry knowledge of Clinical Trial processes, specifically as they relate to data collection, standards, management, and preparation for statistical analysis
  • Experience with those associated specifications, and ability to translate them into clinical systems solutions.
  • Work with technical R&D staff and translate new software features into real world examples
  • Knowledge of computer usage in a web-based environment
  • Absorb and apply new information quickly
  • Ability to think logically to solve complex problems
  • Solid analytical and technical skills with regard to software applications
  • Demonstrated collaboration and team-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Adapt to changing business needs and product landscapes, maintaining a positive outlook and inspiring/motivating others
  • Willing to travel to office locations and customer engagements
  • Minimum of 4-year university/college degree or equivalent (analytic discipline)
  • Multi-year experience working with clinical trials, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Prior services delivery experience required
  • Prior data management or clinical trial software consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams and meeting project timelines

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on many factors including function, level, candidate experience, and geographic location.

  • The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $96,000-128,000.
  • The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $101,250-135,000.
  • The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $94,500-126,000.
  • The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $84,375-112,500.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $85,500-116,057.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Medidata follows a hybrid office policy in which employees who are hired for an in-person are expected to work on site a certain number of days per week (with the specific in-office days to be designated by your team). On July 8, 2024, such employees will be expected to work on site at least 2 days per week. This will increase to at least 3 days per week beginning January 2, 2025.
