About this role:

The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. Risk and Internal Audit Technology (RIAT) provides technology support and development for Integrated Risk Data Management & Reporting, Compliance Risk, Audit, Financial Crimes, Independent Testing and Validation, Model Risk Development, and Credit Risk.

The Audit and Testing Technology team is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager specifically to cover Evidence Based Control Evaluation and lead a team of engineers with various technical expertise and diverse background to sustain existing and build modern technology solutions for our business partners in EBCE area. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong technical skills as well as leadership and mentoring expertise.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a Native Apps and Web User Interface development team of individual contributor engineers

  • Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers

  • Develop product functional and technical strategy for the domains, including development of actionable short and long-term product roadmaps and shaping prioritized features

  • Support implementation of solutions spanning multiple teams for multiple product or capability domains

  • Design, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full stack development tools and methodologies

  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met

  • Oversee Native Apps and Web User Interface development engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities

  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

  • Lead team to achieve objectives

  • Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Software Engineering

  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

  • Provide guidance to less experienced staff

  • The candidate must be experienced in various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and have a solid understanding of technology and data.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of Management experience

  • 2+ years of information technology leadership experience in web application development

  • 4+ years of Net or Java

  • 4+ years of Angular/Java Script experience

  • 3+ years of experience on Rest API/Entity framework

  • 2+ years of experience with Agile in a development environment

  • 4+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline, GitHub, UDeploy , Jenkins

  • 2+ years ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience.

  • Experience with other scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, or VBScript.

  • Experience with MongoDB and other BigData Tools such as Hadoop etc.

  • Experience with Cloud Environment such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, GCP or MS Azure

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security

  • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams

  • Experience leading projects that require integration of multiple technology systems to deliver new online functionality and user experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: leading and designing conceptual, logical and physical architecture

  • Experience leading a fast paced, demanding, and deadline driven production environment

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills
