Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer for its Issaquah, Washington office.
Job Duties: Develop and operationalize data pipelines to create enterprise certified data sets that are made available for consumption (BI, Advanced analytics, APIs/Services). Design data pipelines and recommend ongoing optimization of data storage, data ingestion, data quality, and orchestration. Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT processes using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). Use Azure services such as Azure SQL DW (Synapse), ADLS, Azure Event Hub, Cosmos, Databricks, Delta-Lake to improve and speed up delivery of data products and services. Implement big data and NoSQL solutions by developing scalable data processing platforms to drive high-value insights to the organization. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements; automates manual processes and optimizes data delivery. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of data management. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus one year of experience in: Building ETL/ELT/CDC processes using IICS; Azure; Cloud Technologies; Data engineering with large datasets; Datawarehouse/Datamart; and Azure DevOps.
In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus one year of experience in: Building ETL/ELT/CDC processes using IICS; Azure; Cloud Technologies; Data engineering with large datasets; Datawarehouse/Datamart; and Azure DevOps, employer will accept three years of experience in Building ETL/ELT/CDC processes using IICS; Azure; Cloud Technologies; Data engineering with large datasets; Datawarehouse/Datamart; and Azure DevOps.
