Position Snapshot :

  • Permanent position

  • Location : Issy les Moulineaux, France (Nestlé Purina COE)

  • Automation/Industrial IT Engineer or equivalent in technical and/or scientific discipline

  • Minimum 4-5 years in the corresponding technical field, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry

Position Summary:

In our central corporate office you will join an international team of experts supporting all Nestlé Purina factory in Europe. You will be responsible to lead discussions with our project team and suppliers related to automation and electrical design. You will follow all projects steps following the Nestlé Project Management Principles from basic design to validation, including URS creation, factory acceptance test and commissioning support.

A Day in the Life of a NPPE Automation Engineer:

  • Support our Capital projects in Europe (new production lines, new factories)

  • Participate in FAT & SAT to review automation, DMO integration and electrical specification, execute protocol and track deviations to guarantee that all delivered equipment follow our requirements.

  • Challenge our safety design and ensure that the performance level of our safety loop match our performance expected for all our equipment.

  • Collaborate with our design Engineering teamand support the development of new automation suppliers.

  • Develop and execute pilot initatives to implement new technical solutions (such inline control, new motion technology…), evaluate benefit, and based on ROI, perform roll out to our sites and new CAPEX projects.

  • Build knowledge on current technologies (Wonderware, Rockwell...) by joining internal and external events or knowledge sharing activities to continually identify opportunities of improvement on productivity, safety andergonomy, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies.

  • Provide expertise, challenge and support implementation of automation/digitalization projects to achieve expected savings.

  • Ensure exchanges between sites for best practice sharing and solutions scalability.

  • Maintain our technical E&A standards up to date following projects and suppliers feedback.

  • Develop your expertise to act as a central point of contacts for all our NPPE factories

  • Contribute to the definition of the factory of the future in providing key insights on technologies and OT to be deployed.

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with cross functional and multi-cultural teams

  • Experience in automation (mainly on Rockwell products and Wonderware SCADA)

  • Committment to ensure an attitude of absolute compliance in relation to people and environment safety.

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude

  • Willingness to travel within Europe (50% of your time; Monday to Friday max)

  • Passion to learn and develop new innovative solutions

  • Collaborative team-player with positive attitude and a strong work-ethic
