Team Lead Analog Design Engineer - Istanbul, Turkey
Job Description
Lead the Analog design team in terms staffing to support device / silicon design requirements and to meet design time scales as set by program schedule
Ensure regular contact and communication with relevant teams / people to support your objectives
Analog design and technical leadership of integrated circuit development projects
Hands-on block and top level design from specification to clean database
Define and interpret requirement specifications to achieve system and design strategy for audio-power management products
Commitment to top level chip verification
Improve Renesas power management capabilities
Represent the team towards the corporate engineering group
Support the Group Manager / Director in planning and execution of projects and resource allocation
Mentor direct reports and review technical performance regularly
Coordination and representation of the design team towards the customer
Specification and design of CMOS/BCD power management circuits meeting performance, area, power and timescale constraints
Lab evaluation and support for circuit blocks/whole ICs
Support DFT strategy
Support test development and ramp to production
Manage, guide and review circuit and block design and layout
Propose leading edge solutions
Ensure the entire team follows procedures and design practices that are required by internal guidelines as well as expected from any state of the art technology leader in the industry
Main interface to corporate engineering for own team
Appraisals for direct-reports as agreed with Group Manager / Engineering Director
Support interview process for team members
Consulted as part of the weekly resource planning meeting, but the ultimate decision will always rest with Group Manager / Director of Engineering
Qualifications
Typically 6 to 10 years of electronics experience in one of the following areas: wireless handheld, specifically audio and power management; consumer displays; automotive body electronics
Recent hands-on experience in analog full custom design
Detailed layout judgment and supervision capabilities
Experience of designing switching converters, and controllers: Buck/Boost/Chargers. Linear regulators/chargers/fuel gauge IP
Proven track record of successful production ramp of products
Experience contributing to a successful team environment
Concise and proactive communication skills within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment
Command of verbal and written English
Good communication/customer skills
Desirable -
Knowledge of portable power management: Lithium-ion multi-cell charging characteristics
Ability to propose innovative and leading-edge solutions
Support of technical quotations
Willingness to travel
Understanding of Analog/digital IC design
