Role Summary

As our new Sr. Director, Global Manufacturing & Vendor Management, you will lead the operational planning, processes and outcomes to meet corporate profitability goals through leadership of the global manufacturing and vendor management functions across North America and Asia. This role will drive continuous improvement, ensure high-quality production and maintain robust supply chain networks, aligning all activities with the company\'s strategic objectives.

This role reports to the Chief Product Officer and will be based out of our Itasca, IL headquarters. International and domestic travel is expected (approx. 4-5 trips per year to Asia).

Role Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Strategic Development: Create and implement a comprehensive global manufacturing strategy that aligns with corporate goals and market demands.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage internal manufacturing operations in the U.S. and China to ensure capacity, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, high quality, safety and on-time delivery.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and maintain high product quality.
  • Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing sites comply with industry standards, safety regulations and quality control measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive process optimization and operational excellence.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management:

  • Strategy Execution: Design and execute a robust supply chain strategy to support company growth and operational goals; own supplier leadership responsibility for Fellowes Global Factory Operations and development of strategic OEM partnerships.
  • Cost Management: Drive initiatives to achieve the best total cost structure, including negotiating strategic supplier relationships and agreements.
  • Market Analysis: Understand market trends affecting material costs and communicate across the organization to mitigate risks.
  • New Product Development: Support new product development by identifying and developing technologies, suppliers and processes that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Technology Implementation: Deploy advanced supply chain technologies and systems to enhance visibility, forecasting and decision-making.
  • Supplier Network Development: Oversee critical supplier development activities to improve productivity, drive supplier quality and reduce costs in a global OEM and manufacturing business model.
  • Vendor Relationships: Establish and manage strategic relationships with key vendors and suppliers to secure high-quality materials, products and services.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Implement vendor performance management systems to monitor, evaluate and enhance supplier performance.
