IVINS CITY Plans Examiner / Building Inspector III in IVINS, Utah
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Issues building permits, reviews construction plans and inspects construction to assure compliance with adopted Building and Construction codes as set forth in Title 14 of the Ivins City Code ("adopted Building Codes") and other applicable Ivins City ordinances.
Ø Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ø Must have a valid Utah driver's license.
Ø Must be licensed with the State of Utah as a Building Inspector.
Ø Must be an I.C.C. certified inspector as a Residential Combination Inspector (building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical) and an I.C.C. certified Commercial Combination Inspector.
Ø Must have 2 years of specialized training provided through technical college in building technology or related studies; or 4 years of responsible experience in construction trades at a journey level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ø Must have a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience as a licensed Building Inspector for a governmental entity.
