As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Certified Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations and ensure compliance with state regulations.

As a Certified Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's fleet operations. This includes but is not limited to vehicle maintenance, compliance with state regulations, and ensuring the efficient utilization of company equipment & resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of  large truck and equipment repairs & maintenance. Understanding of compliance with state regulations pertaining to fleet management is key.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fleet Maintenance:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all company vehicles.
    • Schedule routine inspections and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
    • Coordinate with maintenance staff and external service providers to address any issues promptly.
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and insurance requirements.
  2. ?Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay abreast of all state regulations pertaining to fleet management and transportation.
    • Obtain and maintain all necessary state certifications and licenses.
    • Ensure that all company vehicles meet state safety and emissions standards.
  3. Resource Optimization:
    • Develop strategies to optimize the utilization of company resources, including vehicles, fuel, and personnel.
    • Implement cost-saving measures where possible without compromising safety or quality of service.
    • Monitor fuel consumption and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  4. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
    • Prepare reports on fleet performance, including fuel usage, maintenance costs, and compliance metrics.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and invoicing for fleet services.

?Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Fleet Manager from a recognized state authority.
  • Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Deep understanding of state regulations governing fleet operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Other duties as needed.
