Wolters Kluwer Content Management Coordinator - SAP Master Data in Jackson, Mississippi

Basic Functions

The Content Management Coordinator/Master Data Specialist verifies and enters all Customer Master, Material Master Vendor Master, Product and Pricing Information for TAA, L&R and select GRC Businesses and organizes various reporting requirements related to new and changed master data information. The Master Data Specialist must thoroughly understand the design of the customer master, material master, product and pricing files in order to ensure the accuracy of the data and functionality of the system. The Master Data Specialist will maintain, analyze, make system /process recommendations and complete all Master Data centralized functions. The Master Data Specialist must maintain a high level of customer service with Finance, Product, Sales, Sales Ops, Order Management, Customer Service and support leaders within the Business Transformation Team.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • The SAP Master Data Specialist verifies and enters all Customer Master, Material Master Vendor Master and Pricing Information for TAA and Select STEP Orgs and organizes various reporting requirements related to new and changed master data information

  • The MDS must thoroughly understand the SAP design of the customer master, material master and pricing files to ensure the accuracy of the data and functionality of the system

  • Coordinates new product introduction and ensures master data coding conventions are applied as it relates to proper configuration within SAP and product availability

  • Input data into the SAP/Informatica system for new/existing products and make necessary changes to existing SAP data for current products

  • Review and resolve the match and merge queue for the consolidated customer record

  • Review and resolve the match and relate queue for linking customer records to entity records

  • Identify and correct data quality issues for incoming customer records

  • Manage relationship and legal hierarchies to support downstream BI and analytics

  • Resolve data conflicts from source systems escalating issues when needed

  • Work with GBS to implement new business rules in MDM

  • Trouble-shoot production issues, and if appropriate make necessary corrections to the associated master data setup, with the goal of avoiding future issues

  • Assist in establishing best practices, policies and Sop’s for customer master data maintenance and monitoring

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to business units to enhance the quality of customer, material, vendor and pricing master data

  • Participate in Master Data activities for customer, vendor, product and pricing setup

  • Assist in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place

  • Educate employees in the system, create training materials and standard operating procedures

  • Report on internal compliance related to master data

  • Monitor work queue for execution requirements

Job Qualifications

Education:

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in in related field, or relevant experience working within Master Data or IT Verticals

Experience :

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years broad Information Technology experience

  • SAP experience required (preferably SAP ERP)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong work-organizational skills with attention to detail and demonstrated abilities to prioritize workload and work independently

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various functional groups within the organization

  • Ability to work under pressure and use good judgment

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong results focus and goal achievement skills

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team.
