This position is for a Director, Admissions Tools, Remote, with a company located in Jackson, MS.

Summary: We seek an individual who is an exceptional program manager, able to set strategy, identify and manage workstreams, and execute complicated implementation across program, product, marketing, communications, etc. This initiative is a high visibility opportunity for a leader excited by the challenge of changing the way college admissions works in America. The Director will report to the Vice President of Strategy, Johann von Hoffmann, during the incubation phase of this work before moving to the BigFuture Division of the organization.  As our Director of Strategy, you will work closely with the VP of Strategy to conceptualize and lead this program initiative, developing the strategy and managing/implementing pilot(s) in partnership with the College Board members to test, validate, and scale program concepts. Responsibilities include:

Duties and Responsibilities Include: Develop and manage strategy to create admissions program(s) that quickly advance towards goals with students and higher ed members. Develop and manage pilot(s) implementation, including creating/managing project plan(s), working with stakeholders to execute all aspects of our program. Manage interactions and relationships with higher ed members to ensure a high quality experience as we test/build this program. Work with product owners and marketing/communications to create experiences and collateral for students and members (higher ed and k12). Work with BigFuture Team to develop business plan and economic model to support effective scaling. Work with College Board Research Team to develop and pursue learning agenda to measure and improve our work.

Requirements and Qualifications Include: You are inspired by the opportunity to create new ways for college admissions to work and are a great program manager who is excited by creating and implementing new initiatives: 5-15 years of program management experience, including developing/implementing pilot programs to test concepts or initiatives. Exceptionally organized -- able to identify and sequence large blocks of work and manage line by line micro tasks that lead to successful outcomes. Flexibility, curiosity, and initiative -- able to take a broad concept/goal with some direction and develop next steps/actions that lead to the team accomplishing goals. An outstanding record of achievement -- you make things happen in professional and academic settings. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, across lines of difference. A strong commitment to expanding educational opportunity. (Nice to have) Experience working with students, educators, high schools/districts, and/or higher ed.
