Description
We are on the search for a skilled Accounting Manager with financial services or banking industry experience for a 6 month project. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing various financial and accounting functions, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, inventory management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Managing the month-end process effectively and efficiently
• Handling account reconciliations meticulously
• Overseeing monthly financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Managing inventory, specifically related to the shipping of credit/debit cards
• Assisting with ad hoc analysis projects as needed
• Ensuring proper consolidations are done accurately
• Gaining proficiency in Oracle Cloud, though not a strict requirement, would be beneficial
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a must.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.
• Exceptional knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and ensuring financial records are accurate.
• Strong skills in Financial Analysis and making data-driven financial recommendations.
• Ability to manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax compliance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• CPA or CMA certification would be an advantage.
