National Youth Advocate Program Administrative Assistant in Jacksonville, Florida

Salary - $35,500 yearly

Hours - 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant works to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the office run smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administrative Assistant will perform duties including, but not limited to:

  • Work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Programs mission, values, and philosophies.

  • Perform office duties including filing, copying, typing, and answering phones.

  • Operate multi-line switchboard console and transfer phone calls to the appropriate person, and takes messages when needed.

  • Submit maintenance requests for office machines as needed.

  • Orders and maintains inventory of office supplies.

  • Greets guests, vendors, and other visitors, and assure that they are directed to the proper person/area.

  • Distribute incoming mail and maintain the postage machine.

  • Maintains office files, opening and closing files when directed.

  • Assists the Office Assistants with overflow work and special projects.

  • Performs other duties as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must be 21 years old or older;

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record; and obtain required car insurance 100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury as required by the agency.

  • Previous experience and proficiency in the use of various office machines, including computers.

  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
