Naval Supply Systems Command IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in Jacksonville, Florida

Summary You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. THIS IS A RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER ST-12437052-24-JSH. APPLICANTS THAT PREVIOUSLY APPLIED SHOULD RE-APPLY TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Responsibilities You will perform systems administration functions in support of application development initiatives. You will plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware/software. You will allocate system resources and administers system software. You will manage system accounts, network rights and access to systems/equipment and monitors the performance, capacity, availability, serviceability and recoverability of the installed systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with development and implementation efforts for applications to enhance the use of Physical Security Systems and KIOSK systems to include software and hardware installation/integration; 2) Interpreting and applying security regulations for IM and IT policies, processes and guidelines; to include installation/integration of security patches, updates and enhancements; 3) Applying information technology (IT) principles and knowledge of Physical Security Systems and KIOSK systems to provide analysis in performing design and development efforts as well as identify potential improvements and efficiencies; 4) Supporting application development initiatives by allocating system recourses, administering system software, ensuring system functionality and maintaining system configurations; 5) Developing and implementing software diagnostics and testing methodology for resolving hardware, software, and/or communication problems with the Business System processes.. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Examples of 1.
