Job Description
BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is currently constructing a new 25,000 ton ship lift and associated land based drydock facility, to be operational early 2025. Due to the increased capacity and capabilities, our commercial vessel and yacht maritime services program is growing and has a position for a highly motivated and capable Product Marketing Manager.
This position is an exciting role embedded within a small, dedicated and effective team of professionals, all extremely motivated to contribute to the future and success of the commercial vessel and yacht maritime services program. The product marketing manager spearheads marketing efforts for the program, ensuring that growth and product diversification goals and objectives are met. The candidate must be able to ascertain and have, or develop a fundamental understanding of maritime services and products offered, including their strengths, and understand the programs target markets and audiences. With that fundamental understanding, the ideal candidate has an exceptional ability to shape an appropriate marketing strategy with minimal guidance and create and communicate effective marketing content based on and in close collaboration with the programs leadership, shipyard executives, and other stakeholders.
The position also supports BAE Systems Ship Repair with roles and responsibilities that could include marketing, sales, proposal development and other related tasks, in support of the commercial vessel and yacht maritime services program as well as other shipyard programs. As the commercial and yacht maritime services program marketing goals and objectives are met, support efforts are expected to be shared in such broader application.
Objectives of this role
Improve the programs product marketing content output
Shape product marketing campaigns that target prospective customers
Align product marketing with corporate branding and consistent messaging
Review and improve existing and develop guidance and procedural documents for the program
Build relationships with external vendors, target markets and customers
Define product marketing budgets and track spend, always with an eye for ROI
Convert prospects into long term customers through consistent communications
Define and develop tradeshow planning and budgeting in cooperation with local and corporate stake holders
Support program leadership and shipyard executives with communication and briefing materials and messaging.
Responsibilities

Educate internal stakeholders on current product messaging
Manage the programs product marketing campaigns
Develop product storytelling vision and voice
Manage and negotiate budgets to execute the programs marketing vision
Manage and negotiate tradeshow budgets
Represent the program/ company at conferences, trade shows or relevant events.
Develop communications and briefs for internal and external use for the program leadership and shipyard executives.
This is a full time onsite position, however in exceptional cases the hiring team may consider filling the position as hybrid or remote. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven and minimum of 8 years of product marketing and development experience, preferably with marine product or services
Deep understanding of market trends and product lifecycles
Firm grasp of ways to develop strategic product marketing campaigns
Sharp negotiation tactics
Ability to effectively communicate professionally, provide training wherever and whenever required, and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers-both internal and external, and the general public.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documentations appropriate to the program.
Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102800 - $174800

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
