Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Responsibilities What to Expect Responsible for the supervision of operations for fitness centers/ gymnasiums and their staff aboard base. Prepares internal office financial plans and related records and reports, and exercise authority of operating programs of MCCS. Manages new property resources and may provide direction on facility renovations and improvements. Develops long range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives, and exercise internal personnel management authorities as delegated by the higher-level supervisor with regard to subordinate supervisors and employees in the office. Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performances reviews signing timesheets, and training employees. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. A minimum of four years experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of fitness centers or related field One year having been at a supervisory level. A degree from an accredited college/ university in a related field is preferred. First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and CPR certification is required within 6 months of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
