Job Title: Metro Micro CDL DriverOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for a Metro Micro CDL Driver. Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:•Operation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.•Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulation•Assists in loading and unloading truck manually, if needed.•Follow verbal and written instructions•Varying types of work including: digging, flagging, concrete work•Ability to operate a loader •Basic troubleshootingRequired Skills/Abilities:•Reliable transportation to and from work•Strong work ethic•Physical Organization and time management •Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessary•Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools•CDL A or B required•Experience with a live bottom trailers a plus•Able to operate trucks in excess of 110,000lbs safely•Ability to do minor maintenance and grease trucks•Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted•Consent to a DMV license evaluation•Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:•Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds•Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements•Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present•Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:•Ability to read and understand SDS •Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) •High school diploma or GED - a two year technical degree is preferred•Basic math skillsAdditional Duties:This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
