Cleaning Technologies Group Service Technician in Jamestown, New York

Job Title: Service Technician Location: Jamestown, NY Department: Technical Service Reports To: Director of Technical Service Exemption Classification: Non-Exempt, hourly Pay: $25.00/hr

Summary: Perform work involving the skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment functioning. Repair, install, adjust, or maintain production and processing machinery or systems. Duties may include the aligning, balancing, pipe fitting, or dismantle machinery and equipment, repairing of electrical or mechanical equipment, according to plans.

Essential Functions: • Understand and Follow the Values: Safety, Growth, Passion, Quality, Integrity, and Excellence • Treat team members with dignity and respect • Uphold and follow a culture of safety and quality • Must be able to follow defined process and procedures in accordance with the ISO Standard. • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, electrical schematics, or computer-generated reports. • Perform routine maintenance. Such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters or doing other preventative maintenance actions. • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges. • Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. • Test and inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, wear, and proper

functionality. • Repair, inspect, operate, or test machines, equipment, or structures, to diagnose machine malfunctions, plumbing, electrical, and pneumatic using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devises. • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs. • Reassemble after completion of inspections, testing, repairs. • Start machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists. • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. • Inspect or test damaged machines and mark defective areas or advise supervisor/manager or repairs needed. • Study time, motion, methods, or speed involved in maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standard production rate or improved efficiency. • Verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards by observing worker performance. • Update and maintain databases associated with calls, service orders, maintenance, repairs, customer information, and interactions. • Appropriate and clean appearance when meeting with visiting customers. • Other duties as defined to support our Values, Mission, Quality, and Safety requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical technology with 2-3 years’ experience preferred Associate in electrical or mechanical technology with 5+ years’ experience preferred

Skills: PLC Ladder Logic knowledge and experience preferred Must be proficient in Office Suite Must have project management experience Must be able to manage time, prioritize, and meet deadlines Must be able to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, pneumatics

Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform advanced level mathematics (algebra, trigonometry, strength of materials, etc.) and use industry related calculations and formulas

Physical Demands May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit for periods of time Ability to stand for periods of time Ability to climb stairs Finger and manual dexterity and fine motor skills

Work Environment: Controlled environment Office setting 10% (approximately) Production floor 90% (approximately) Must always wear proper PPE
