    Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, this position oversees the engineering work related to

developing and improving manufacturing processes while working closely with multiple departments across all facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Corporate Manufacturing Engineering team by providing guidance, assigning projects, and providing

    training where necessary to properly support production operations and business growth initiatives

  • Lead manufacturing operations through problem identification and resolution

  • Lead continuous improvement projects that will reduce safety risks, improve process ergonomics, reduce cost,

    improve efficiency, and/or improve quality

  • Maintain and update a library of process equipment documents (procedures, SOPs, flow charts, plant layouts, etc.)

    Evaluation/monitoring of processes to determine efficiency improvements and reduction of scrap and rework

    opportunities

  • Responsible for assisting in the implementation of new and existing equipment to develop manufacturing cells that

    optimize production efficiencies

  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce safety risks, improve process ergonomics, reduce cost, improve

    efficiency, reduce scrap/rework and/or improve quality

  • Assists in evaluating equipment to determine capabilities, optimal usage, process flow, layout, and capacities.

    Work with the local process engineering team to develop and recommend welding systems, weld fixtures, robotics,

    and consumables

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred

  • 8+ years of related engineering and manufacturing experience

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing systems and solid working knowledge of metal

    fabrication processes and materials

  • Well-developed human relations / people management skills; able to delegate authority and provide guidance,

    direction, goals, feedback, and discipline. Easily able to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of

    people

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to make quick and appropriate decisions

    Proficient at multitasking and prioritizing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong overall computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
