Perform housekeeping duties in a hotel setting. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
- Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners.
- Dust and polish furniture. Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
The minimum age is 19. Starting pay is $9.00 per hour. Work will be scheduled for 5-7 hours a day, 5 days each week. Work may be scheduled Sunday-Saturday. Housekeeping positions begin work at 8:30 am and the entire housekeeping staff ends work at the same time when all cleaning is completed for the day. Benefits will be discussed at interview.
