First Baptist Church Jefferson City Maintenance Worker in Jefferson City, Missouri
DEFINITION: This position works under the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Foreman. The primary responsibilities are cleaning the building and maintaining the grounds. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans and maintains building floors, bathrooms, etc. in accordance with established cleanliness standards.
- Maintains an orderly and safe building and grounds.
- Demonstrate effective safety skills with church members, visitors, and church staff members.
- Participate in in-service training opportunities to keep custodial skills updated and current.
- Treat all persons with respect and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to safely operate custodial equipment and maintain the equipment appropriately.
- Ability to safely use cleaning supplies and maintain them appropriately.
- Ability to follow a daily duty schedule of work activities.
- Able to lift and move 75 pounds.
- Ability to accept supervision and follow policies and guidelines adopted by the church.
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of custodial work.
