Business and Reporting Analyst- Sourcing

job summary:

Our client, a well known international investment bank and financial services provider, is seeking a mid-level Technical Business and Reporting Analyst to join their Sourcing Department in Jersey City, NJ.

The scope of responsibility is focused on working with procurement systems, processes, and reporting, enhancement of already existing processes, and development of new processes (end to end) as well as, policy management and compliance on behalf of the entire Sourcing group. The individual is required to have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Required:

Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word, etc...)

strong analytical skills

Proficient with the following tools:

Python

Dashboards (PowerBI is a huge plus)

Some financial analytic background is preferred

Software testing experience for User Acceptance Testing

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of (5) years experience in a similar role (MIS, Systems Analysis, Systems Testing)

Desired:

Experience with change management and process improvement

Experience in a Sourcing organization

B.S. in Computer Science or other related fields of Study

responsibilities:

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

-Systems support - Role is responsible for supporting multiple procurement-related systems including, but not limited to PeopleSoft, Bravo, DocuSign, workflow (Camunda BPM tool), and the group intranet site as it relates to the use by the group.

-System testing - the role is responsible for developing system user acceptance test scripts, executing the testing, and documenting the complete testing life cycle.

-Process improvement - Role is responsible for documenting and maintaining existing processes adhered to by the group. Furthermore, this role is intended to analyze these processes and drive efficiency where possible.

-Reporting - Role is responsible for creating and maintaining all reporting on behalf of the group (management reporting, compliance reporting, saves reporting, spend reporting, and general).

-Governance - Role is responsible for supporting users on the Procurement Policy and ensuring compliance with the policy by Sourcing clients.

-Analytics - Role is responsible for developing and supporting Sourcing Managers to assess opportunities to yield savings and/or service improvements to the firm. The effort may include analysis of various data sets (spend data, utilization data, etc..) and assisting in the development of business cases. Also responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of the AMER Sourcing group and seek continuous improvement.

-Correspondence with RESG/ACH in Paris - Role will be required to collaborate with Sourcing in Paris (RESG/ACH) on systematic, reporting, compliance, engagement, and other matters on behalf of the group.
