JPMorgan Chase Director of Software Engineering - Runtime Engineering in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Director of Software Engineering - Runtime Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Technology Team, you provide deep, full stack cloud engineering expertise and work across agile teams to enhance, build, and deliver trusted products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as work collaboratively with stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Job responsibilities
Advise and Lead on strategy and development of multiple cloud products, applications, and technologies
Produce engineering designs and code, and help drive implementation
Create novel code solutions and drives the development of new production code capabilities across teams and functions as a hands on leader
Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in line with the latest development methodologies and technologies
Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functions
Influences across business, product, and technology teams and successfully manages stakeholder relationships
Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Provides architectural direction and guidance for current and future state platform engineering efforts
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Cloud Computing concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
Deep understanding of Cloud Technologies, and in particular Public Cloud and AWS
Programming expertise in Golang, Java and Terraform
AWS, Azure or GCP - and hands on experience building solutions in these providers
Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Expert in one or more programming language(s)
Demonstrated prior experience with influencing across functions and teams and delivering value at scale
Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems across various technical disciplines
Extensive practical cloud native experience
Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Drive domain modeling, designing, and handling of complex and scalable architectures, building container eco-systems for micro services
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in designing and maintaining Api/event driven architectures
Experience in building and maintaining cloud native software solutions including advanced knowledge of managing infrastructure as code
